Nearly all the women the world has to offer fall outside what the fashion house’s standard sizes. This is why there exists an increasing need for “plus size” designer clothing.  Fashion designers are recognizing this niche market and are providing many new styles and fashions. One main thing that many people not realize is that the “petite” size rating for clothing does not necessarily mean tiny. Many times it refers to height, just think about all those little and curvy women out there! When we buy designer plus size clothing and fashion, we should also shop with quality in mind.  Buying clothing that will last and that we can easily combine and coordinate to create unique flattering effects is our aim.  We want to create a wonderful wardrobe we can add to, not a seasonal one-off “in” and then “out” of fashion look.  Shop around, don’t get caught up in buying from just one shop.  I do have my favourites but I still look about.  In the last ten years or so there has been a jump in the online stores offering quality designer clothes for bigger ladies.  Designers of high-quality plus size clothing recognize that bigger and more curvy women do require hot and sexy styles too, just as we also need clothing for work, as well as clothing for just lazing around the house or even for those special occasions.  Whatever type of designer plus size clothing you should require is now almost instantly available online.  I’m working on a list of plus size online shops for this site – I’ll keep you posted.

Seams Easy (!)

Forgive the punny title!  If purchasing trousers/slacks in plus sizes, it is important to obtain the correct in-seam length.  This is really a top tip!  If you have trousers in plus size women’s clothing and don’t bother measuring the in-seam, the end result will possibly be that you will have to chop off a large amount of the leg material in hemming.  More money and time wasted… boo!  This always used to happen to me and then the trousers appear very loose, shapeless and make you seem less tall than you truly are.

The key to looking fantastic, curvy and sexy when you wear designer plus size clothing would be to get the right fit.  In fact, it is so important I’m going to say it again!  The important thing to us full-figured women’s clothing is the fit!
